| Abdomen |

| ABO incompatibility |
Occurs when the blood type of the fetus differs from the blood type of the mother. The mother creates antibodies to defend against the blood type of the infant and these antibodies begin destroying the fetus' red blood cells. |

The loss of an embryo or fetus either spontaneously (miscarriage) or induced (when a pregnancy is terminated on purpose) before 20 weeks. |
